Restaurant Toipark Village

"Pitter-patter, pitter-patter." An extraordinary rainy season has arrived . It has been raining almost everyday. Don't let the rain ruin your mood, have a blast one! The best thing ever to do in rainy day is warming yourself with a hot and spicy steamboat. There is nothing better!

I know a great spicy steamboat place - Restaurant Toipark Village an authenticTaiwanese cuisine restaurant in Chai Leng Park which highly recommended by my dear friend, Cannis. You can order something extra spicy like Szechuan hotpot or hotpot smells like Hong Kong's stinky tofu.
Don't underestimate them 'coz it's really HOTTTTTTTTT and SMELLYYYYYYYY!

  Restaurant Toipark Village

 Must order any drink!
Believe me, you can't survive without water if you ordered the spicy hotpot!

As for starter, we had ordered spicy chicken wings and herbal eggs.

I couldn't comment on this dish because I do not eat chicken.

Herbal eggs taste best the next day.
This herbal aroma was very strong.
I guess it had been soaked in herbal soup over a long period.

Zhar Jiang Noodle.

This seaweed was combined with pork mince unlike the one in Japanese/Korean restaurant. It had a strong odor which slightly resembled stinky tofu. I couldn't accept the smell of this seaweed at the very beginning but after few bites the stinky odor slowly turned into fragrance. Plus, the seaweed was very long and thick! I am not a fan of stinky tofu but I like it because it was seaweed =)

From sarters to main course were just the beginning and this was the real deal.

Hotpot with spicy soup base.
It was the famous dish of that restaurant. Must try this if you love spicy food like I do, but you have to keep drinking water 60 second per minute! It was HOT! Although I love spicy food, it was too spicy. I can't feel my tongue and shed tear because of its spicy hot! I think this was hot enough to help you breathe better if you have a cold but this was not the hottest one in that restaurant.
Do you dare to challenge the hottest steamboat?
Here's the address:
34, Lbh Kurau 3, Taman Chai Leng, 13700 Perai, Penang

That's all for today.
Do take care everyone and be safe, especially while on the road!
Have a nice weekend.
